WHAT IS FIGHT CLUB?
The Fight Club Challenge is a 6-week race where men will complete weekly challenges within the context of community and accountability. Men will be required to attend the Kickoff night and participate in small group gatherings (SQUADS) every Wednesday night Assignments and challenges change weekly and cover spiritual, relational, intellectual, and physical growth areas, along with Scripture memory and many opportunities to try something new, sometimes intimidating, sometimes just for fun.
THE BIG PICTURE
- To get men “addicted” to and “hungering for” the Word of God.
- To understand what God intends for a man to be through the lens of Scripture.
- To equip men to feel confident to lead their families.
- To make disciples who make disciples.
- To challenge and call men to do more with their one and only life.
- To change the man, change the family; change the family, change the community; change the community, change the world.
The name Fight Club comes from Nehemiah 4:14:
After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the officials, the nobles, and the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
