Our Story

Pastor Kevin Ducharme's journey, rooted in the small rural town of Reeves, Louisiana, embodies a life transformed by unwavering faith and dedication. Growing up in a devout family, Pastor Kevin was deeply influenced by his father, a committed pastor of over 30 years, which ingrained in him the values of service and community. His early experiences in his father's church laid the foundation for his spiritual path and calling.

After marrying his wife, whom he met during a revival at their local church, Pastor Kevin ventured into various fields, eventually embracing youth ministry in Texas. However, feeling a deeper calling, he returned to Reeves, where, under the guidance of Pastor Jacob Aranza, he discovered Church of the King (COTK) Lake Charles. This marked a new beginning for Pastor Kevin and his wife, as they found their place within the COTK family, leading to significant personal and communal growth.

In 2019, embracing God's call, Pastor Kevin made the heartfelt decision to lead his original church, initiating a period of renewal and spiritual awakening. His leadership journey continued to evolve, culminating in his role as campus pastor following his father's retirement. Under Pastor Todd’s mentorship, Pastor Kevin has been instrumental in transitioning his church to become a vibrant campus of Church of the King, now known as Church of the King Kinder, which celebrated its inaugural service in Easter 2023.

Pastor Kevin's story is a compelling narrative of faith, leadership, and transformation, highlighting his journey from a small-town boy to a dynamic campus pastor at COTK. His mission is to inspire and empower individuals to walk in freedom, power, and blessing, fundamentally changing the world around them.
